Prayer as a Way of Life with Sis. Cristy and Bro. Rolly Custodio
PERSIST IN PRAYER
‘This, then, is how you should pray...’ Matthew 6:9
Today’s Devotion
If prayer came naturally, God wouldn’t have to remind us so often to do it. A consistent prayer life requires crucifying our selfish nature. But when prayer doesn’t seem rewarding, we’re apt to abandon it. So how can you pray and get results?
1) Before you ask, adore! Any prayer that begins with asking can become self-centered and shallow. ‘Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name’ (Psalms 100:4 NIV). When God’s love, goodness and faithfulness are your starting point, you’re lifted out of yourself, your spirit is prepared for ‘connecting’ with God, the content of your prayer becomes more scriptural, and you get results. In the Lord’s Prayer, Jesus directs our attention first to God’s name, then His kingdom and then His will. After that, we ask for ‘our daily bread.’ Thanksgiving doesn’t condition God to bless you—it conditions you to receive His blessing.
2) When you pray, persist! God’s not an automated teller. You are supposed to stay engaged with Him until He decides to answer you. This involves an attitude of faith, persistence and patience. Jesus gave us a parable about a woman who kept pleading with a hardhearted judge to grant her petition. When she finally wore him down, he gave her what she asked. Jesus had only one purpose for the parable: ‘To show them that they should always pray and not give up’ (Luke 18:1 NIV). The point is not that persistence forces God’s cooperation, it’s that God wants you to pray and not quit. When you persist God will answer, ‘and quickly!’ (v. 8 NIV).
Parallel Verses: Habakkuk 1-3, Luke 9:18-27, Psalm 65 , Proverbs 19:5-8
Today’s Prayer
Heavenly Father thank you for your Word today. Lord, I come before you with a humble heart. Lord thank you for instructing us not to give up when we pray. Lord thank you for developing my patience so that I can wait your best answer. We knew Lord that when we persist in prayer something will happen in our life and that we rely our trust to you 100% without wavering that we may see your miracles working at us and to all prayer requests. Lord empowers me to engage in prayer in your church and for others request. Lord thank you for choosing me as one of your prayer warriors to protect your people and the plans in your Church and to let you rule our lives or your glory. In Jesus Name, Amen!

Prayer as a Way of Life with Sis. Cristy and Bro. Rolly Custodio
MAKE PRAYER A HABIT (Part-3)
God has surely listened and has heard my prayer.’PSALM 66:19
Today’s Devotion
he Psalmist wrote: ‘If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened; but God has surely listened and has heard my prayer’ (vv. 18-19). The character flaws you are working on, and your tendency to stumble from time to time, don’t disqualify you from God’s blessing. The sin you ‘cherish’ does that. In prayer the first thing God will want to talk to you about is usually the last thing you want to talk to Him about—namely, the sin you don’t want to let go of. It will actually keep you from the place of prayer. When Adam sinned he hid from God, saying, ‘I heard Your voice…and I was afraid because I was naked...’ (Genesis 3:10 NKJV). Billy Graham said: ‘The Christian should have an appetite for prayer. He should want to pray. One does not have to force food upon a healthy child. Exercise, good circulation, health and labour demand food for sustenance. So it is with those who are spiritually healthy. They have an appetite for the Word of God and for prayer. A little girl committed a certain offence and when her mother discovered it she began to question her daughter. Immediately the child lost her smile and a cloud darkened her face as she said, “Mother, I don’t feel like talking.” So it is with us when our fellowship with God is broken by sin in our lives. We do not feel like talking to Him.’ So, if you don’t feel like praying today, it’s probably a good indication that you need to.
Parallel Verses: Genesis 50, Haggai 1-2, Matthew 2:16-23, Psalm 139:13-24, Proverbs 31:28-29
Today’s Prayer
Heavenly Father thank you for your Word today. Lord, I come before you with a humble heart. Lord thank you for instructing us to pray always and find a place where we comfortable in communicating with you. Lord thank you because you will not allow the enemies or the lions to swallow us but you will control their mouth and any enemies will no harm us but you will destroy them and as you have said Lord that we will only see our enemies in front of our table how you would destroy them. Lord thank you for faithfulness to us and strengthen us lord to make prayer as our habit so that all the time we have protection in our family, job, and all the surrounding. Lord empowers us to serve to you in the ministry of or your glory. In Jesus Name, Amen!

Prayer as a Way of Life with Sis. Cristy and Bro. Rolly Custodio
MAKE PRAYER A HABIT (Part-2)
‘…He knelt down…three times [a] day, and prayed...’ Daniel 6:10
Today’s Devotion
Peter, whom God used to help build the church, and John, whom God used to write the book of Revelation, made time in their daily schedule for prayer. ‘Peter and John went up together to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour’ (Acts 3:1 NKJV). The apostle Paul, who wrote much of the New Testament, said, ‘Never stop praying’ (1Thessalonians 5:17 NLT).
Daniel’s habit of praying was so well-known that his enemies used it to trap him. ‘…He knelt down on his knees three times [a] day, and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as was his custom since early days. Then these men assembled and found Daniel praying...’ (Daniel 6:10-11 NKJV). End of story? No, Daniel’s prayers shut the mouths of lions and caused a heathen king to say: ‘Men must tremble and fear before the God of Daniel. For He is the living God…His kingdom is the one which shall not be destroyed…He delivers and rescues, and He works signs and wonders in heaven and on earth, Who has delivered Daniel from the power of the lions. So…Daniel prospered…’ (26-28 NKJV).
The Psalmist wrote: ‘He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty’ (Psalm 91:1 NKJV). Once you identify your ‘secret place’ and begin to use it regularly, a kind of aura surrounds it. You will grow to love it, and eventually it will become the most important place in your life. The power of prayer defies calculation. Nothing lies beyond the reach of prayer, except that which lies outside the will of God.
Parallel Verses: Genesis 47-49 , Matthew 2:9-15, Psalm 139:1-12, Proverbs 3:25-27

Prayer as a Way of Life with Sis. Cristy and Bro. Rolly Custodio
MAKE PRAYER A HABIT (Part-1)
‘Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed.’ LUKE 5:16
Today’s Devotion
Habits are powerful things. We form our habits, and then our habits form us. So this year are you going to stop talking about it, and make it a habit to spend time with God in prayer each day? If your desire is to be like Jesus, you must begin to pray regularly, for He ‘often withdrew to lonely places and prayed’. Don’t let the word ‘lonely’ intimidate you. Once you cultivate an awareness of God’s presence, you’ll prefer His Company to that of anybody else.
Don’t let the word ‘withdrew’ intimidate you. Just shut off your TV, your computer and your mobile phone and you’ll make a wonderful discovery: ‘…In thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore’ (Psalm 16:11KJV).
John Wesley said, ‘I have so much to do that I must spend several hours in prayer before I am able to do it.’
Martin Luther said, ‘Prayer is the most important thing in my life. If I should neglect prayer for a single day, I should lose a great deal of the fire of faith.’
The hymnist wrote: ‘Sweet hour of prayer, sweet hour of prayer, that calls me from a world of care. And bids me at my Father’s throne, make all my wants and wishes known. In seasons of distress and grief my soul has often found relief, and often escaped the tempter’s snare, by thy return, sweet hour of prayer.’
When the disciples asked Jesus about prayer, He began by saying, ‘When you pray...’ (Matthew 6:9-15 NCV). He assumed they’d have a regular time for prayer. Could He assume that about you?
Parallel Readings: Genesis 44-46 , Matthew 2:1-8, Psalm 97, Proverbs 31:22-24
Today’s Prayer
Heavenly Father thank you for showing me your Son Jesus about his prayer life. Encourage me Lord to make prayer a habit of my life so that everyday I am renewing my strength like eagle and ready to work for the rest of the day. Help me also Lord to pray for others so that they will see your miracle happens that they may believe that you are really the Jehovah Jireh the great provider for your glory. In Jesus Name, Amen!

HINDRANCES TO PRAYER (Part-2)
Saturday, 28 Dec. 2013
Prayer as a Way of Life with Sis. Cristy and Bro. Rolly Custodio
HINDRANCES TO PRAYER (Part-2)
‘…You do not have, because you do not ask...’ James 4:2
Today’s Devotion
Here are two more hindrances to answered prayer:
1) Failure to pray. It’s estimated that out of the 667 prayers for specific things mentioned in the Bible, there are 454 specific answers. That means the Bible is a book of prayers—and answers. Our problem is, we spend a lot of time talking about prayer and fail to get down to the business of praying. Charles Trumbull said, ‘Prayer releases the energies of God.’ The goal of prayer is not to overcome God’s reluctance, but to believe Him and take hold of His willingness. His Word says: ‘You do not have, because you do not ask.’ C. E. Cowman wrote: ‘No praying man or woman accomplishes so much with so little expenditure of time, as when he or she is praying.’ Until you learn to pray in faith and wait on God for the answer, you’ll get nowhere.
2) Failure to care. When the Israelites complained that God wasn’t answering their prayers He told them, ‘Stop oppressing those who work for you and treat them fairly…share your food with the hungry…Clothe those who are cold and don’t hide from [those] who need your help. If you do these things…the Lord will answer’ (Isaiah 58:6-9 TLB). Sin and unbelief are not the only things that hinder your prayers;: self-centered living will! A little girl prayed for several weeks asking God for a certain thing. Finally in frustration she said, ‘By the way, Lord, I’ve mentioned this to You several times before.’ If that’s your situation, stop thinking about your own needs and focus on the needs of others.
Parallel verses: 1 Samuel 16-17, Luke 4:31-44, Psalm 102:1-11 , Proverbs 17:4-6
Today’s Prayer
Heavenly Father thank you for this Word Prayer. I thank you that you point to always pray for others and to care that those in need. Lord helps me to be sensitive and not being self centered so that I can serve you unconditionally and change my perspective from self-centered to benefits of everyone and make my prayer as a way of life to meet other’s need for your glory, In Jesus Name. Amen!

Prayer as a Way Life with Sis. Cristy and Bro. Rolly Custodio
HINDRANCES TO PRAYER (Part-1)
‘…So that nothing will hinder your prayers.’ 1 Peter 3:7
Today’s Devotion
Here are two hindrances to answered prayer:
1) Unconfessed sin. ‘Your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear’ (Isaiah 59:2 NIV). As a believer, God expects you to walk in obedience. ‘What does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God’ (Micah 6:8 NIV). Notice, these are ‘requirements.’ If you don’t meet them you’re wasting your time praying, unless it’s a prayer of repentance. You must seek God’s forgiveness, and then He will hear your prayers.
2)Unresolved conflict. ‘Husbands…be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect…so that nothing will hinder your prayers.’ There’s no point praying if you are always fighting with one another. ‘Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates his brother is still in the darkness’ (1John 2:9 NIV). God will answer when you come out into the light, deal with the thing that drove you apart, and attempt to mend the relationship.
Now, sometimes it isn’t possible to make amends. ‘If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone’ (Romans 12:18 NIV). Sometimes the other person would rather keep the issue alive than accept your apology. When that happens, look into your heart. Do you really want restoration, or would you rather ‘place blame and let things fester? If your attempts have been wholehearted and honest, God won’t let a broken relationship stand in the way of your prayers. But if your attempts have been half-hearted and self-serving, try again—this time for real.
Parallel verses: 1 Samuel 14-15, Luke 4:14-30, Psalm 98 , Proverbs 17:1-3
Today’s Prayer
Heavenly Father thank you for your Word. I trust you Lord that if we confess our sins you are faithful and just to forgive all our sins and cleanse us from all our wickedness. Lord thank you that through our prayer you give us peace and change our situation for our favor. Lord allow you Holy Spirit to remind me always to truly pray for others, my family and my ministry that I may walk blameless for your glory, In Jesus Name.

Amen!

Pray from Your Heart

Prayer as a Way of Life with Sis. Cristy and Bro. Rolly Custodio
Pray from Your Heart
‘…when you search for Me with all your heart.’ Jeremiah 29:13 NKJV
Today’s Devotion
God isn’t moved by your eloquence or the multiplicity of your words. He’s moved by a heart that spills the burdens of the day across the altar, exposing every pain to the power of a God who ‘can’. Can what? Can do whatever you have the faith to believe Him for. ‘…Whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them’ (Mark 11:24 NKJV).
Your confidence in prayer is not based on your ability to speak, but on God’s ability to hear and understand. He knows what you are trying to say. The old hymn goes: ‘In seasons of distress and grief, my soul has often found relief. And oft escaped the tempter’s snare, by thy return, sweet hour of prayer.’ Either learn to pray, or become good at worrying! What you give to God, He handles. What you keep, you handle.
Spiritually, when everything is ‘going out’ and nothing’s ‘coming in’, you collapse under the weight of it all. Is that where you are today? If so, prayer is your answer. It restores what life depletes. When you pray you’re saying, ‘Lord, I believe You’re more competent to deal with this than I am, and I trust You to do it.’ When you pray that way, the heart of your boss is in God’s hands, the surgery you dread is in His hands, your children and your finances are in His hands. God is ready to intervene on your behalf – just pray from your heart. ‘Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass’ (Psalm 37:5 NKJV).
Parallel Verses: Gen 7-9, John 12:37-50, Ps 102:18-28, Pr 30:24-28
Today’s Prayer
Heavenly Father thank you for your Word today. I come before you with a humble heart today. Lord thank you for this Word that you are looking for our heart and our status . Lord thank you for searching our hearts when we pray. Lord may our prayer starting today must be from the bottom of our hearts as John Bunyan’s says that in prayer it is better to have heart without words than words without a heart. Lord empowers me to pray always and touch your heart so all our prayers reached in heaven and fill your vessels with our tears. As you have said Lord that when our tears will overflow then we will see your power and miraculous answer. Lord teaches us to intercede by heart in behalf of others for your glory. In Jesus Name, Amen!

Prayer as a Way of Life with Sis. Cristy and Bro. Rolly Custodio
GOD WITH US
'Good news… for all the people.’ Luke 2:10 NIV
Today’s Devotion
The life of a shepherd in first century Israel was not to be envied. It was a thankless task – people looked down their noses at agricultural specialists like these. They were poorly paid – so perhaps it won’t be a surprise to know they weren’t all men. Lots of women looked after sheep in the cold fields, guarding them overnight from predators. So, when God chose to be born in the stench of a cattle-shed, it’s no wonder the angels bypass the universities and theological colleges and churches to announce their good news to these lonely figures on a hillside.
Men and women who probably felt forgotten suddenly discover that God has offered them a supreme honor: for thousands of years, so many Israelites had wanted to be the first to hear the Messiah had come. No one suspected a bunch of smelly shepherds would be the chosen ones.
God is down-to-earth in more ways than one. The text tells us God is with us, whoever we are. Today God isn’t in the tinsel and trappings. He is with the homeless man on the streets. He is with the lonely pensioner in her flat. He is with the drunk on the park bench. He is near the addict with the pipe. He is in the midst of all of us but, wherever there is a forgotten figure on a spiritual ‘hillside’, God’s heart is particularly there.
So what now? This Christmas why not think about being His messenger of good news. What could you do for someone to tell them that God is with them (His name does actually mean Emmanuel, ‘God is with us’), and to bring unending joy to their world?
Parallel Verses: Isa 7:14, Isa 9:6-7, Micah 5:25a, Matt 1:18-25 (Christmas Day)
Today’s Prayer
Heavenly Father thank you for your Word today. I come before you with a humble heart today. Lord thank you for choosing me as your servant and follower. Lord thank you that reach us. Your birth here on earth is our hope and we expect Lord that you will bless us as we are welcoming and remembering Christmas that there is a child and will be born in the City of David and His name is Jesus the Messiah, Lord, Savior and God. Lord thank you so much to come here on earth even we were sinners you come here and live like we live. You are Wonderful Savior of lives. Lord thank you for the Eternal Life that you gave to us and to be offered to those who will accept you as their lord and Savior. Lord thank you for everything. Lord strengthens us to continually serve you until your return for your glory. In Jesus Name, Amen!

The Ministry of Intercessory Prayer
Tuesday, 24 December, 2013
Prayer as a Way of Life with Sis. Cristy and Bro. Rolly Custodio
The Ministry of Intercessory Prayer
‘On behalf of a man he pleads with God…’ Job 16:21
Today’s Devotion
The Bible says: ‘So Joshua fought the Amalekites…and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went to the top of the hill. As long as Moses held up his hands, the Israelites were winning, but whenever he lowered his hands, the Amalekites were winning. When Moses’ hands grew tired…Aaron and Hur held his hands up…So Joshua overcame the Amalekite army…’ (Exodus 17:10-13 NIV).
This story illustrates the power of intercessory prayer. Far from the crowd, but seen by the eye of God, are men and women who ‘hold up the hands’ of ministries in prayer. And God is looking for more of them. Charles Finney had an intercessor called Abel Clary who travelled with him wherever he went. Finney wrote, ‘Mr. Clary continued as long as I did, and he did not leave until after I had left. He never appeared in public, but he gave himself wholly to prayer.’ Finney may have impacted nations, but he didn’t do it alone.
Job writes, ‘My intercessor is my friend…on behalf of a man he pleads with God as a man pleads for his friend’ (Job 16:20-21 NIV). The ministry of intercessory prayer is:
1) A ministry of identification in which you stand with others.
2) A ministry of sacrifice which calls you away from the pleasures and comforts of life.
3) A ministry of authority, for your prayers move the hand of God on behalf of others.
Today the God Who said, ‘I sought for a man among them, that should…stand in the gap before Me for the land…’ (Ezekiel 22:30 KJV) is looking for intercessors. You can be one of them!
Parallel Verses: Gen 40-41, Jn 18:1-18, Ps 147:12-20 , Ecc 4:9-12
Today’s Prayer
Heavenly Father thank you for your Word today. I come before you with a humble heart today. Lord thank you for chosen me as your one of your Prayer Intercessors in our Church. Lord thank you for the answered prayer because you know our very need and we knew Lord that your eyes are upon the righteous and you order their steps. Lord empowers me to stand between the gap of my Church and my family and friends. Lord strengthen me always when I start prayer because I knew that the battle also begins as you have said Lord in your Word If enemies will come to us like a flood you will raise your and we don’t even lift our finger and see the punishment of the wicked and you will give us victory in every endeavor we did for you. Lords touch my heart that I make Prayer as a way of life ready to be used to advance your kingdom for your glory. In Jesus Name, Amen!
Prayer for Salvation

The Prayer Of Jabez
Monday, 23 December, 2013
Prayer as a Way of Life with Sis. Cristy and Bro. Rolly Custodio
The Prayer Of Jabez
‘Oh, That ... Your Hand [Would] Be With Me ...’ 1 Chronicles 4:10.
Today’s Devotion
When God begins to bless you, your opportunities can outrun your strength, your experience, and your resources. God’s blessings can actually ‘overtake’ you (Deuteronomy 28:2). Imagine having more business than you can handle, more opportunities than you can respond to, more demands on your gift than you can fulfil.
That’s the reason Jabez prayed, ‘When I’m successful, keep me dependent on You!’ Why do you think the Bible says, ‘... if riches increase, set not your heart upon them’ (Psalm 62:10). Or, ‘Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you!’ (Luke 6:26). God’s saying, ‘When you’re successful, don’t get out of balance. Keep first things first! Always lean on Me!’ Big-screen heroes may not put much stock in dependence, but you and I were made for it.
God’s plan has never been to make you great, but to keep you humble, and become great through you. Listen: ‘The eyes of the Lord move to and fro throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His...’ (2 Chronicles 16:9 NAS).
God wants to be your support system! He’s not scanning the horizon for spiritual giants; He’s just looking for people He can trust with more of His blessings. Paul says, ‘... not that we think we can do anything of lasting value by ourselves. Our only power and success come from God’ (2 Corinthians 3:5 NLT). For us, dependence is just another word for power! That’s why you need to pray today, ‘Lord, keep Your hand on me!’
Today’s Prayer
Heavenly Father thank you for your Word today. I come before you with a humble heart today. Lord thank you for teaching on this subject and teach me to be always humble even when I reach the peak of my success. Use me Lord to be a blessings for others and keep my heart from loving the treasure of this world but focus on our relationship with You Lord and protect me Lord always as Jabez said Lord We may not overwhelming with all these blessings but we should keep our eyes on you and keep away from loving richest of this world and we pray for protection always so that we may not trap from any offers of this world but rather cultivate our relationship to you always more than richest. Lord uses me as instrument of your blessings and a servant who is blameless and a man of prayer in order to pray regularly in every area of ministries that you assigned to me for your glory. In Jesus Name, Amen!
Prayer for Salvation
Lord I admit I am a sinner I repent of all my sins and I receive you into my heart as my personal Lord and Savior Amen. If you mean that prayer above from the bottom of your heart you are now saved. It is God’s Word that He promise in John 3:16 that if you trust His Son Jesus you will not die but you will have Eternal Life. Welcome to the family of God. Praying But Not Expecting!

Prayer as a Way of Life with Sis. Cristy and Bro. Rolly Custodio
Praying But Not Expecting!
‘ ..Because of her gladness she did not open the door’ - Acts 12:14
Today’s Devotion
After the church prayed all night for Peter’s release from prison, he suddenly shows up at their door. When Rhoda tells them, ‘It’s Peter,’ they reply, ‘You’re out of your mind.’ Listen: ‘Peter kept on knocking, and when they opened the door...they were astonished’ (Acts 12:16 NIV).
There are three important lessons here for you:
1) Don’t just ask; expect! God will astonish you by:
a) His timing: ‘...before they call, I will answer ...’ (Isaiah 65:24)
b) His methods: ‘...the Lord sent His angel and rescued me...’ (Acts 12:11
NIV). Stop limiting God!
2) Be alert; you might miss it. They were all praying but only Rhoda responded
to Peter’s knocking at the door. And when you’ve got her spirit, you’ll respond too
a) You’ll get a divine ‘intuition’ that something’s about to happen
b) You’ll begin looking for the answers while others are locked into a posture of
praying but not really expecting anything
c) You’ll recognise the answer when others don’t d) you’ll be willing to leave the
crowd in order to respond to God.
3) Open the door. Listen: ‘...because of her gladness, she did not open the [door] ...’ (Acts 12:14 NKJ).
How often have you come home from church moved but not changed? You can grow old in a pew, believing but not experiencing; rejoicing, yet never receiving what God’s got for you. The word for you today is
a) Don’t just ask, expect
b) Be spiritually alert
c) open the door!
Today’s Prayer
Heavenly Father thank you for your Word today. I come before you with a humble heart today. Lord thank you for teaching us to be prayerful to our family, love ones, church and friends. Lord empowers me to pray regularly so that my church and love ones can be protected and release from any persecution and slavery of habit and sins. Lord teaches me to be a prayer warrior and standing in gap against enemies who is trying to destroy my church, family and friends for your glory. In Jesus Name, Amen!
Prayer for Salvation

Pray for Christians Under Attack

Prayer as a Way of Life with Sis. Cristy and Bro. Rolly Custodio
Pray for Christians Under Attack
“Remember… those who are mistreated.” Hebrews 13:3 NKJV
Today’s Devotion
Do you ever pray for persecuted Christians in other countries? You should, because they are your spiritual family. John writes: ‘…I saw…those who had been slain because of the word of God and the testimony they had maintained’ (Revelation 6:9 NIV). Increasingly, believers around the world are giving their lives for the cause of Christ and the testimony they’ve maintained in the face of hostility. ‘Are you trying to make me feel bad?’ you ask. No, just:
1) More prayerful. ‘Remember those in prison as if you were their fellow prisoners, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering.’ Next time you hit your thumb with a hammer and your whole body aches, remember this truth and pray for the great big worldwide body of believers, many of whom are still being mistreated, imprisoned, tortured, and even killed in Christ’s name.
2) More grateful. You say, ‘Grateful for what?’ That your faith is so effective that you’re on satan’s hit list; that he considers you a threat to his kingdom and his agenda in the earth.
3) More faithful. Richard Wurmbrand, who wrote Tortured For Christ, said, ‘What a person really believes is not what he says in his creeds, but what he’s willing to die for.
’ Now, the odds are that you will never be called upon to die for Jesus.
But the question is, if you’re not willing to die for Him, what are the chances you’ll really live for Him? Before you can answer that question you must ask yourself, ‘How much of my time, my treasure and my talents am I investing into His kingdom?’
Today’s Prayer
Heavenly Father thank you for your Word today. I come before you and humble myself today. Lord thank you for all those who had been persecuted for their life because without the sacrifice of their life your Gospel will no be forwarded to all those who have not reached. Lord we may continue to pray all those Christians Missionaries for their life to be safe and sound so that they can preach with boldness and many lost souls will be saved for your glory. In Jesus Name, Amen!
Prayer for Salvation
Lord I admit I am a sinner I repent of all my sins and I receive you into my heart as my personal Lord and Savior Amen. If you mean that prayer above from the bottom of your heart you are now saved. Praying with the Right Mindset
Friday, 20 December 2012
2) Ask Him to cleanse you with His blood. You can't come into God's presence tainted by sin; you must confess it and ask Him to forgive you.

Prayer as a Way of Life with Sis. Cristy and Bro. Rolly Custodio
Praying with the Right Mindset
'You...do not receive, because you ask amiss.' James 4:3
Today’s Devotion
Sometimes in our prayers we are 'me' centered and see God as a genie to be conjured up to fulfill our every wish. Then when we don't get what we want we think He doesn't hear, doesn't care, or maybe doesn't exist. James says, 'You...do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures.' Selfishness is at the root of many unanswered prayers.
The first petition in the Lord's Prayer is 'Hallowed be Your name', the second 'Your Kingdom come' and the third, 'Your will be done' (Matthew 6:9-10 NKJV). Note, our first concern in prayer should be what God wants, not what we want.
So here are some suggestions for praying with the right mindset:
1) Ask God to slay your sinful nature. As new creatures in Christ we wrestle daily with our old nature. And as long as that nature has the upper hand, our prayers will be hindered.
3) Ask Him to fill you with the Holy Spirit. The indwelling of God's Spirit enables you to overcome temptation and live according to His will.
4) Ask Him to guard and guide your steps. God's plan for our lives is always better than anything we could ever devise.
5) Ask Him to use you for His glory. Make yourself available as a servant with a willing heart to do whatever He asks. Bottom line: when you pray with the right mindset you'll get answers you never imagined possible.
Today’s Prayer
Heavenly Father thank you for the answered prayer, though I am not yet receive the answer but still my desire for my prayer you are already there preparing and orchestrating that something will be happened to my request because I believe you Lord that you are a great provider and your Word is true. Lord empowers me and uses me mightily to forward your Kingdom and to spread the Good News of Salvation to every creature for your glory. In Jesus Name, Amen!
Prayer for Salvation
Lord I admit I am a sinner I repent of all my sins and I receive you into my heart as my personal Lord and Savior Amen. If you mean that prayer above from the bottom of your heart you are now saved. PRAYER THOUGHTS (Part-2)
Thursday, 19 Dec. 2013
Prayer as a Way of Life with Sis. Cristy and Bro. Rolly Custodio
PRAYER THOUGHTS (Part-2)
‘Be still, and know that I am God…’ Psalms 46:10
Today’s Devotion
Give God your whispering thoughts. Throughout the centuries, Christians have learned the value of brief sentence prayers. These Give God your whispering thoughts. Throughout the centuries, Christians have learned the value of brief sentence prayers. These are prayers that can be whispered anywhere, in any setting.
Frank Laubach sought unbroken communion with God by asking Him questions. Every two or three minutes he would pray, ‘Am I in your will, Lord? Am I pleasing you, Lord?’ Imagine considering every moment as a potential time of communion with God. By the time your life is over, you will have spent six months at traffic lights, eight months opening junk mail, a year and a half looking for lost stuff, and a whopping five years standing waiting in various queues. Why don’t you give these moments to God? By giving Him your whispering thoughts, the common becomes uncommon. Simple phrases such as ‘Thank You, Father,’ or ‘I stand on Your Word,’ or ‘My desire is to please You,’ can turn a commute into a pilgrimage.
You needn’t leave your office or kneel in your kitchen. Just pray where you are. Let the kitchen become a cathedral and the classroom a chapel. Give God your waning thoughts. At the end of the day, let your mind settle on Him. Conclude the day as you began it—talking to God. Thank Him for the good parts. Question Him about the hard parts. Seek His mercy. Seek His strength. As you close your eyes, take assurance in the promise, ‘He who watches over [you] will neither slumber nor sleep’ (Psalms 121:4 NIV). If you fall asleep as you pray, don’t worry. What better place to doze off than in the arms of your Father?
Parallel Verses: Revelation 1-4, Matthew 20:17-34, Psalm 70 , Proverbs 6:26-28
Today’s Prayer
Heavenly Father thank you for I am in your thoughts Lord. You knew me when I was born in my mothers womb. When I go to the mountains you are there and I can’t escape from you because you always look my ways and love me for what I am. Lord remind me to trust you always even I can not yet see the results but I knew Lord that you are always me in your heart. Lord encourage me to always think of who you are and what you have done for us for your glory. In Jesus Name, Amen!

PRAYER THOUGHTS (Part-1)
Wednesday, 18 Dec. 2013
Prayer as a Way of Life with Sis. Cristy and Bro. Rolly Custodio
PRAYER THOUGHTS (Part-1)
‘…Every morning, I tell you what I need, and I wait for your answer.’ Psalm 5:3
Today’s Devotion
It takes time, but eventually sheep grow familiar with the voice of their shepherd and learn to trust him for everything they need. So how can you become equally familiar with the voice of God? Here are a few ideas:
1) Give God your waking thoughts. With your head on your pillow and your eyes still closed, offer God the first seconds of your day. Say, ‘Thank You for a night’s rest. Today I belong to You.’ C. S. Lewis wrote: ‘The moment you wake up each morning…all your wishes and hopes for the day rush at you like wild animals. And the first job each morning consists in shoving them all back; in listening to that other voice, taking that other point of view, letting that other, larger, stronger, quieter life come flowing in.’
2) Give God your waiting thoughts. The mature married couple has learned the treasure of shared silence; they don’t need to fill the air with constant chatter. Just being together is sufficient. Try being silent with God. ‘Be still, and know that I am God…’ (Psalms 46:10 NIV).
Awareness of God is the result of stillness before God. Jesus prayed, ‘That [they] may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe…’ (John 17:21 NIV). When are you most deeply aware of Christ’s presence ‘in you’ as He promised? To what degree have you consciously invited Him to be more and more at home in your heart? How has your practice of intimacy with God developed in the last few years?
Parallel Verses: 1 Kings 21-22, Matthew 20:1-16, Psalm 66:13-20 , Proverbs 6:23-25
Today’s Prayer
Heavenly Father thank your prayer Word for today and for being with me always. Lord thank you that your eyes are upon me and you always guide me to a direction that you want me to be. Lord fills me with your thoughts, love and your Word so that I always trust you and be in your presence always for your glory. In Jesus Name, Amen!
Prayer for Salvation

Prayer (Part-6)

Prayer as a Way of Life with Sister Cristy and Bro. Rolly Custodio
Prayer as a Way of Life with Sister Cristy and Bro. Rolly Custodio
Prayer (Part-6)
'You will ask what you desire, and it shall be done.' John 15:7
Today’s Devotion
In May 1996, ValuJet flight 592 crashed into the Florida Everglades, killing 110 passengers. Navy experts tried using special technology to detect the plane's black box, without success. Holding a rope that kept them spaced three feet apart, searchers poked through every square foot of muck. After fourteen days they had found nothing. The physical conditions were unbearable. The sun beat down upon them and temperatures hovered in the nineties. Diesel fuel and caustic hydraulic fluid floated in the water, forcing searchers to wear several layers of protective rubber. Fourteen days of that had left them dehydrated, but they had to find the black box. Sergeant Felix Jimenez of Metro-Dade Police was one of the searchers. For fourteen days he'd prayed for the bereaved families and the safety of his fellow workers.
But on the fifteenth day as he took a break, suddenly he realized he'd failed to pray for one important thing: that God would help them find the black box. So he asked God for direction, resumed the search, and when he stuck his pole into the water he hit something metallic. He pulled the object out of the muck. It was the black box. Jimenez writes in Guideposts: 'I thought of the many days we had spent searching for the recorder, how we must have tramped over it many times, and I wondered why its retrieval had taken so long. Amid the low rustle of saw grass and the call of the wild heron, I seemed to hear the response: 'Why did it take you so long to ask?'
Today’s Prayer
Heavenly Father thank you for your promise in your Word that If we knock the door surely the door will open, If we seek you we will find it and If we ask definitely you will give it. Lord thank you that you remind us to always pray and ask you so that we will know you Lord that you are an answering God. For us is impossible but in you Lord nothing is impossible. Lord empowers me to pray always and trust you that you will give something to bless us and elevate us so that we may know that we serve a living God who answers all our prayers. Thank you Holy Spirit for giving me strength to pray for other’s need so that they may know that you are a great God and glorify you Lord. In Jesus Name. Amen.
Prayer for Salvation
Lord I admit I am a sinner I repent of all my sins and I receive you into my heart as my personal Lord and Savior Amen. If you mean that prayer above from the bottom of your heart you are now saved.
